考GRE还是GMAT？看完这个你就懂了

　　很多同学包括本科生和研究生都比较迷茫。有些同学从高中就开始考托福，但一直没有决定是否出国。有些同学大二就把GRE和GMAT都考了，然后现在忙着考CFA。但他们居然还是不知道金融硕士和金融工程硕士项目之间的区别，也不自己适合哪种金融类硕士项目，更不明确是否会出国。

　　首先对于金融类硕士项目而言，GRE/GMAT成绩并不重要。数学(Quantitative Reasoning)部分满分，分析性写作(AWA)部分尽可能4.0以上。

　　其次，从申请的可选择范围和毕业后的就业角度而言，GRE成绩会更有适合有志申请金融的同学。大部分金融类项目只接受GRE成绩，而商学院下面的金融硕士项目既接受GMAT成绩也接受GRE成绩。而除了金融硕士(Master of Finance)和金融工程硕士(Master of Financial Engineering)以外，还有其他硕士项目毕业后可以申请从事金融行业工作，例如金融数学、统计、精算等。而这些项目都要求GRE成绩。

　　一些同学考GMAT的原因，就是不自信，总觉得商学院最高大上，business school的项目才够逼格。虽然不可否认哥大商学院和其他一些牛校商学院的中国留学生确实自视其高，但他们就业尤其是想从事金融行业工作的那些同学，毕业后能留在美国的比例却往往低于金融类硕士项目。原因很简单，商学院培养的不是金融专业人才，而是管理类人才。那么商学院下面的金融硕士项目大多相对没有工程学院或者研究生院下面的金融类项目那么专，业界的认可也会低点，除了卡内基梅隆大学(Carnegie Mellon University) Tepper商学院的计算金融硕士项目(Master of Computational Finance)以外。

　　而数学subject考试也完全没有必要，有帮助但不会是决定性的。所以也别浪费时间在这个考试上，除非你想申请数学博士。
