　　TheprimarypurposeoftheroleistoundertakeresearchaspartoftheNationalInstituteforHealthandCareExcellence(NICE)DecisionSupportUnit(DSU),withaparticularfocusondevelopingmethodsaroundManagedEntryAgreements(MEAs).TheworkisintendedtohelpinformNICEaboutthemethodsthatcanbeusedwhenassessingtherapiesatanearlystageintheirevidencedevelopmentandfocusontheassessmentofoptionsforNICE’sdecisionmakingbodiesincludingapprovalforNHSusewithperformancebasedrisk-sharingagreementsinplace.InadditiontothisyouwillcontributetoarangeofworkthatspansappliedcosteffectivenessmodellingandmethodsworkundertakenfortheDSU.Youwillberequiredtodevelopyourownmethodologicalinterestsinrelatedtopics.
